It is a nice color but wouldn't the team have used a Porsche color code ?
RispondiEliminaNot so easy, otherwise we would have done so. Those cars were painted by the teams in custom colours, each team choosing its own shade. Racing cars feature different colours from standard production.
RispondiEliminaNot always the case...factory sponsored cars would occasionally use "factory" color codes. But I understand your point.
RispondiEliminaIt's not the case of privately-entered GT cars like this one. If I'm not mistaken, some cars, like the 911 GT3 Cup and RSR are delivered to customers in plain white.
RispondiEliminaYes, I understand.
RispondiEliminaI do recall back when I was making a lot of race cars here in the States I would contact the crew chief and he would give me the color code.
RispondiEliminaIt would be much easier with better known Porsche-teams. Anyway for 1998 onwards, there are the AutoModélisme Hors Série specials which help a lot with RAL codes of every race entrant. But, unfortunately, they started the series only 3 years after the edition "our" car was entered in.
